“Opičí náčelník z Tai Pingu" . Čaje podobného tvaru  (s ostrými a špičatými velkými listy) se v oblasti Tai Pingu vyráběly již od 12. století. V 19. století za dynastie Qing jeden z pěstitelů čaje vyšlechtil novou odrůdu, kterou pojmenoval jako „Hou Kui - opičí náčelník“. Čaj má ploché, poměrně velké listy zářivě zelené barvy s červeným žilkováním a ochmýřenou vnitřní stranou. Jako jeden z mála zelených čajů má tento orchidejovou kvalitu chuti a vůně. Nálev má lehce mléčnou konzistenci a jemnou chuť s aftertastem po orchidejích. Tento čaj, který právem patří mezi deset nejslavnějších čínských zelených čajů, může pomoci uvolnit se po fyzické zátěži, stimuluje činnost nervové soustavy a tonizuje.

Meng Ding Gan Lu
