Zhong Three friends of winter

Sui Han San You 岁寒三友: pine-bamboo-plum is an artistic and cultural motif of East Asian, especially Chinese and Japanese art. It depicts pine, plum and bamboo as three plants that can, each in their own way, withstand winter, and have therefore long been a symbol of steadfastness, perseverance and resilience in times when everything withers and declines and a person has only a few most loyal friends left.
