In Chinese Jin Chan (golden toad) or Chan Chu (toad), in English Money Frog, in Czech three-legged frog of abundance represents a popular talisman of abundance according to Fengshui. It is said that this mythical animal appears during the full moon near houses or businesses that are about to receive good news (usually meaning news related to wealth). According to one Chinese legend, the Golden Toad was the greedy wife of one of the Eight Immortals (Ba Xian), who was turned into a toad as punishment for stealing the Peaches of Immortality (Xian Tao), which are food for immortal, ascended or enlightened beings. Peaches symbolize immortality (or the wish for a long and healthy life) and often appear in Chinese art and stories.
